Learning Guarantee
Learning Guarantee requirements
The Learning Guarantee supports planned, systematic study. It does not promise that you will pass the official theory test, and it is not a guarantee from an authority or from the organiser of the test.
If you meet all the requirements before the official theory test and still fail the test, you can, provided the conditions are met, choose a refund of the purchase price or an extension of access with targeted review.
This is a translation of the original Finnish text. If the language versions differ, the Finnish version prevails.

Meet all the requirements before the official theory test
The requirements cover the theory, traffic signs and picture questions of the licence category you have access to.
- Theory and traffic-sign material for your category read, with the reading-time requirements met.
- Every theory and traffic-sign task for your category answered correctly at least once.
- Every task in the paid picture practice for your category answered correctly at least once.
The requirement covers the entire practice bank. The trial’s five pictures are not enough, and you do not need to complete every task in the separate exam pool.
- Two passed Practice exams. They do not need to be consecutive.
- Once reached, the exam target stays reached even if you keep practising.
You will also see your later results, but they do not remove a Learning Guarantee exam target you have already reached.
- Requirements met before the start time of the official theory test.
Work completed on the test day before the test starts also counts, using Finnish time (Europe/Helsinki).
- Paid access for the correct licence category valid on the day of the test.

How to request a Learning Guarantee assessment
Send your request to info@teoriavalmis.fi. Compensation is not given automatically; we check your completion records to see whether the conditions are met.
- State your driving licence category and the date and time of the official theory test in Finnish time (Europe/Helsinki).
- Attach evidence of the failed result.Cover your personal identity code and any other identifiers that are not needed to handle the matter. Do not send the test questions or answer options.
- Choose your compensation.Choose either a refund of the purchase price or an extension of access with targeted review.
- Tell us what you think affected the result.Choose one: a topic was missing, an explanation remained unclear, the picture questions did not match the difficulty of the test, the Practice exam gave too optimistic an impression, time management or the test situation took you by surprise, a technical problem, or another reason.
- Additional free-form feedback is optional.Detailed free-form feedback is not a condition for compensation.
Privacy
We keep only the information needed to handle your request
The image of your test result that you send is deleted no later than 30 days after the decision. Information needed for the decision may be kept for up to 24 months. When handling the request, we see whether the conditions are met and which condition may be missing, not detailed information about your browsing.
